Helen Trotter

Helen Pearl Trotter, of Ward, Arkansas, passed away on April 30, 2015. She was born in the Butlerville Community of Lonoke County on December 26, 1920 to Emmett Locke Folks and Ruby Mae (Norris) Folks.
Helen was a homemaker until WWII when she took a job at the Ammunition Plant in Jacksonville. Afterward, she worked for what became Franklin Electric in Jacksonville until her retirement. Upon retirement, Helen volunteered for Lonoke County Cares. For many years, she was a member and actively participated at Cabot United Methodist Church and in the United Methodist Women Ministry . Helen was a member of Sylvania/ Tri - Community Extension Homemakers and the Arkansas Quilters Guild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Trotter; son, Wayne A. Bland and daughter, Emilea Rooney.
She is survived by her son-in-law Roger Rooney; two grandsons, John Rooney and Chuck Rooney and wife, Laura; as well as, two great-grandchildren; Jeni Rooney and Gabe Rooney.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 3, 2015, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Smith- Westbrook Funeral Home and Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Smith- Westbrook Funeral Home. Burial in Beebe Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cabot United Methodist Church- Music or Youth Departments, 2003 South Pine Street, Cabot, Arkansas 72023
