Helen M. Pollock, age 94 of North Little Rock, AR, died at home surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Helen was born on February 8, 1920 in Pueblo, CO, at the end of World War I and experienced the sweep of the 20th Century. She was the daughter of E.E. Nelson and Lydia Williams. After retiring from a 20 year career as a Fashion Consultant with J.C. Penney, she tirelessly volunteered at NLR Baptist Hospital, St. Luke's Respite Center, and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church for over 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl C. Pollock, her parents, sister, and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter Ruby Wortham (Bill), three sons: Earnest Pollock (Johanna), Kenneth Pollock (Penny), and Phillip Pollock (Mary), and three grandchildren: Robert Wortham (Ginger), Fawn Wortham Sachleben (Joseph), and Katherine Pollock, and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two half-brothers, Albert Williams and Robert Williams. She will be missed by her constant companion, her baby cat, "Precious."
Visitation will precede the ceremony at 9:30am at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Thursday, May 22nd at 10:30am. Funeral services to follow at 10:30am. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Little Rock, AR.
Flowers welcome or in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
