Helen McGee

Helen Lucille McGee, 88, of Vilonia went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 31, 2021. She was born February 20, 1932 in Jacksonville, Arkansas to the late Alonzo and Ruth Kyzer Peters. Helen was a member of Bayou Meto Baptist Church where she served as church Secretary for twenty-five years. She enjoyed traveling, loved dogs and feeding the wildlife but found her greatest joy in her grandchildren and her faith. Helen had a love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ that was unmatched. She will always be remembered as a hard worker, a wonderful confidant and a lady of great integrity, as well as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest “Jack” McGee; siblings, Edwin Peters, Eugene Peters, Carolyn Kelley and Brenda Compton.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Debbie (Patrick) Martin of Kentucky, Earnest (Tamela) McGee Jr. of Bryant, Leonard (Yolanda) McGee of Vilonia; grandchildren, Meranda Stull, Dwayne Martin, Madeline McGee, Abigail McGee, Austin McGee and Brandon McGee.  Other survivors include great grandchildren John Stull, Kaylee Stull, Paisley McGee; siblings, Marvin (Pam) Peters, Kathy (Levoy) Little and Karen Hightower, along with a host of other family and dear friends.

Funeral services will be 10am, Friday, February 5, 2021 at Bayou Meto Baptist Church , 26200 AR-107, Jacksonville, AR 72076. Interment will follow at the Little Rock National Cemetery . Visitation will be 5pm-8pm, Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the church. Memorials in Helen’s memory may be made to Bayou Meto Baptist Church .

Earnest McGee, Leonard McGee, Dwayne Martin, Patrick Martin, Jody Stull, Austin McGee and Brandon McGee will serve as pallbearers.
