Helen Mceuen

Helen McEuen, 87, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born April 1, 1921, at Shirley, Arkansas, to William and Vicie Gadberry and passed away Friday, January 23, 2009, at Springhill Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

After graduating from beauty school, she purchased her own business in Searcy. It was there that she met her future husband, Freeman. Helen was a member of the Beebe Church of Christ and the Beebe Chapter of the Eastern Star. Helen worked for the White County Health Department until her retirement and volunteered for several years for Carti in Searcy. She loved sewing, gardening and traveling. When anyone mentioned lets go, Helen was always the first in the car.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of sixty-one and one half years, Freeman A. McEuen and one brother, T. J. Gadberry.

Helen is survived by her six children; Sondra Wisdom and husband, Jimmy, of Lexington, Illinois, Barbara Weatherford and husband, Bobby, of Beebe,Patti Owens and husband, Carl, of Berryville, Bryan McEuen and finance, Bev Cortiana, of Bentonville, Rick McEuen and wife, Jennifer, of Hoover, Alabama and Sarah Talley and husband, Clay, of Beebe; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Stane of Beebe, Angie Diles of North Little Rock, Matthew Wisdom of Bloomington, Illinois, Tara Treat of Houston, Texas, Michael Weatherford of Little Rock, Lindsay McEuen of Centerton, Jake and Jordan Talley of Beebe, Emily and Cooper McEuen of Hover, Alabama and seven great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregiver, Tonya Johnson.
