Helen Kaplon

Helen Kaplon, 81, loving wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 3, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of North Little Rock. Helen was a past member of Immaculate Conception Church, St. Patrick's Church, and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise Bawiec of Marche. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, son Ron, and sisters, Frances Bawiec and Florence Luyet.
She leaves behind her son Pat, wife Beverly, daughter-in-law Vicki, grandchildren, Emily, John (wife-Heather), Kristen, and one great-grandchild, John Hayes, brothers Joe Skretkowicz (wife-Regina), and Jacob Bawiec (wife-Regina), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was a woman who thrived on caring for those she loved, especially her family members. The love for her family was surpassed only by her love for God and her Catholic faith.
The family wishes to thank her caregivers at Sherwood Nursing and Rehab where she happily spent the last years of her life while suffering from Alzheimer's.
Helen's visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014, followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, followed by burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.
