Helen Clara Kueck Jones died peacefully on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Hospice Home Care. Helen was born on February 13, 1921 to John Claude Kueck and Clara Mueller Kueck in Sedalia, Missouri.
She is survived by her caregiver and loving husband of 64 years John William "Bill" Jones of Little Rock; children, Don Jones (Judy) of Greenbrier, Robert Jones (Carol) of Bryant, Sandy Price of Little Rock and Pat Funk (Jack) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Julie Riddle (Jeff) and Donny Jones (Adrea) of Greenbrier, Tony Price (Kristy) and Tracy Price (J.D.) of North Little Rock, Stephanie McCratic (Steve) of Prairie Grove, and Alicia Funk of Maumelle; great grandchildren, Blake and Landon Riddle, Madison and Wyatt Price, Jackson Denny, Cameron and Elizabeth Stricklin, Charlotte Grace McCratic, and Ashley Lowry. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Viola Kueck of Sedalia, Missouri and Dora Winstead of Houston, Arkansas, brother-in-law Richard Wilhelm of Benton and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Helen was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry Kueck of San Antonio, Texas, Gilbert Kueck, Leonard Kueck and Marvin Kueck of Sedalia, Missouri; and sister Nadine Strelow of Wichita, Kansas.
Helen was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sedalia, Missouri. For many years she was a member of First Lutheran Church in Little Rock where she was active in the LWML Night Circle, Altar Guild and Dorcas Guild. More recently she is a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Little Rock.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., Little Rock, AR 72205 (NW Corner of I-630 and Barrow Rd). Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Hillcrest at Kavanaugh, Little Rock, the Reverend James C. Walter will officiate. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, AR at 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Altar Guild Fund at Grace Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 250769, Little Rock, Arkansas 72225; Central Baptist College, 1501 College Avenue, Conway, Arkansas 72034, or to the Lutheran Camp on Petit Jean Mountain, 110 Montgomery Trace, Morrilton, Arkansas 72110.
