Helen Carrel Hill

Helen Carrel Hill, 86, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, at her home.

She was born September 13, 1936, in Arkadelphia to Harrison Meddley and Dora Pierce Meddley.

Helen enjoyed dancing, traveling to Branson, eating at area restaurants and spending time with her friends at the local senior citizens center.

She worked as a seamstress for Levi Strauss and Hollywood Vasserette Clothing Company.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hansel Hill and her siblings: Junior Meddley, Vera Smith, Wayne Meddley, Elanie Roberts and her twin, Welton Meddley.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Steve (Helen) Hill of Alpine, Arkansas; her daughter, Theresa (Keith) Sutton of Alexander, Arkansas; her son, Michael Hill of Alpine; her grandchildren: Quinten Hill, Blake Hill, Josh Kizer, Shaun Kizer, Brandon Hill, Daniel Hill, Josh Sutton, Matthew Sutton, Jared Sutton and Zach Sutton; seven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, August 21, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Helen’s funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Hill Valley Cemetery near Alpine.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Arkansas Development Council in Arkadelphia.
