Helen Lianos Lord Helmich, 94, of Little Rock, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010. She was born in Little Rock to George and Victoria Vlaudreas Lianos and was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where she participated in the annual pastry sales sponsored by the church. She was a member of the Women's Emergency Committee and volunteered in the Neonatal ICU at Arkansas Children's Hospital for 18 years. Mrs. Helmich owned and operated, with her husbands, The Little Rock Inn Drive-In Restaurant at 14th and Main Streets for 26 years.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Charles H. Lord and Bruno Helmich, and her daughter, Victoria Ann Lord, she is survived by her son, Charles Lord of Durango, Colorado; sister, Mary Karrant of Little Rock; grandson, Benjamin Lord; nieces, Vickie Burkett, Brenda Watts and Janette Erby; nephew, John Karrant and a host of grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held today, Sunday, December 26 beginning at 6 p.m., with a Memorial Prayer/Trisagion Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1100 Napa Valley Dr., Little Rock. Services will be Monday, December 27 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church, officiated by Rev. Dr. Nicholas J. Verdaris. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Church or to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
