Helen Maxine Ellison, 77, of Benton, Arkansas passed away surrounded by her family on March 6, 2017. She was born August 20, 1939 in Bald Knob, Arkansas to the late John and Ollie Mae Stivers.
Maxine was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved spending time with her family. Working word search puzzles was a favorite pastime. Maxine enjoyed listening to gospel music and was a huge Gaither fan.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Edward Ellison; son, James Ellison, Jr., infant daughter, Olla Faye Ellison; sisters, Veda Good and Ruth Reed.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Debbie Ferren and husband Gary of Benton, Arkansas and Jamie Eidt and husband David of Wynne, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Justin Ray Ferren and wife Chelsea, Jessica Plouch and husband Jeff, Ethan Eidt, and Logan Eidt; 4 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Joan Edelstein and husband Steve of Hunt, Texas; siblings, Ruby Parish and husband Jim of Cabot, Arkansas, John Stivers and wife Julie of Lonoke, Arkansas, Mary Johnson and husband Richard of Lonoke, Arkansas, Shirley Harker and husband Arnold of Kingslend, Arkansas, Don Stivers and wife Rhoda of Little Rock, Rick Stivers of Cabot, Arkansas, Tammy Pounds, and Lisa Rhoades and husband Randy of Redfield, Arkansas; and many more family members and friends who loved Maxine and will miss her always.
Reception visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas. Funeral service, officiated by Bro. Dave Good, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 10, 2017 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Burial following at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Services entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
