Hazel Ann Goff, age 74 of Arkadelphia died Monday, November 7, 2005 in the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX. She was born June 22, 1931 in Ft. Worth, TX the daughter of the late Herrel C. and Estelle Sanders Ashburn. She attended Baylor University, where she received bachelor's degree in science and her master's degree in education. She was a retired physical education director at Ouachita Baptist University from 1954-1970. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Arkadelphia.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Goff; one sister, Corinna Ashburn of Ft Worth, TX.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005 in the First Baptist Church with Will Thompson and Betty McCommas officiating. Private burial will be at 9:30 AM in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Choir or the Goff Scholarship in Physical Education and Aquatics program at Ouachita Baptist University. Pallbearers will be Bob Gravett, Bob Butler, Buddy Bob Benson, Ken Hix, Tommy Murphree, Ken Sandifer, Joe Boyd and Russell Cerrato. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Chambliss, Bobby Frank Taylor, Bill Williams, John McCorun, Bill Vining, Ray Utley, Herman Foster, Jim Miller, Kevin Chambliss, Rob Taylor, Al Alexander, Bill Akin and members of the Lion's Club. Family will receive friends at their home, 814 North Park Dr in Arkadelphia.
