Harvey Rogers

Harvey Dean Rogers, age 67, of Searcy, Arkansas has passed the evening of February 2nd, 2021.  He was born February 19th, 1953 in Pontiac, Michigan.  He was raised in the Vinity Corner community with his three brothers and graduated from Beebe High School in 1971.   He was active among the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 942, Vinity Hunting Club, and the community of Vinity Corner.  He cherished his time in the outdoors hunting, gardening, and was delighted among his friends and family for his keen skills and cooking ability in the barbecue smoke pit, as well as entertaining others.  Harvey was also well known to be a huge fan of NASCAR, loyal to the Arkansas Razorbacks, and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Rogers of Searcy; his son Barrett Rogers formerly of Beebe; his daughter Deanna Abernathy of Beebe; and grandson, Ethan; two of his three step-sons, Justin Roark and Nicholas Roark with grandchildren McKinly and Rhyan; his brothers Danny Rogers of Forney, Texas and Tim Rogers of Cedar Creek, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his father Luther Harve “LH” Rogers, his mother Eliza Dell Rogers (Lynch), his brother Charles Ferguson Rogers, and stepson Bryan Curtis Mauldin.  He will be interred at Cheek Cemetery with a graveside service Monday February 8th, 2021 at 2:00pm.  Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home in Beebe, Arkansas on Sunday February 7th, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
