Harry David Trulove, 82, of Little Rock, went to be with his Lord on August 8, 2009. Born January 13, 1927, in Rome, Georgia, to Robert and Veda Harris Trulove, Rev. Trulove graduated from Mercer University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary after having served in the United States Navy. Reverend Trulove first served as associate pastor at First Baptist Church in San Angelo, Texas, going on to pastor at First Baptist in Ozona and Ft. Stockton, Texas, before beginning work for the Estate Stewardship Department at the Texas Baptist Convention in Dallas, Texas. Coming to Arkansas in 1974 as President of the Arkansas Baptist Foundation, Rev. Trulove served in this capacity until his retirement in 1994.
He is survived by wife, Carolyn Trulove; daughter, Teresa Walker (Glenn) of Little Rock, Arkansas; sons, James D. Trulove (Susan) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Timothy G. Trulove (Kelley) of Little Rock; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2009, from 12:45 - 1:45 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church in the chapel foyer, with services following in the Immanuel Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Arkansas Baptist Foundation, 10117 Kanis Rd., Little Rock, AR 72205.
