Harry Rohrbacher,

Harry F. Rohrbacher, 92, of North Little Rock passed away peacefully after a long illness on January 26, 2011. He was born October 6, 1918 in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania to Harry F. and Dora Rohrbacher. As a young man he was very active in BSA Troop #1 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, he continued to work with youth several summers at the nearby Boy Scout Camp.
Mr. Rohrbacher was a decorated World War II veteran who received the medal for gallantry. As a staff sergeant he made the original landings in Sicily, Salerno and Anzio. He also fought in the battle for Rome and Naples. Upon returning to the United States he was sent to Camp Robinson where he helped train new troops.
For 35 years, he worked for the Borden Company. After retiring, he went to work part time at Marsh Hardware where he set up a fix-it shop for 14 years.
Harry also served as first president of the Indian Hills Community club.
Mr. Rohrbacher is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Eileen Rohrbacher and infant son, Harry Henry. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Bill Wright of North Little Rock and Judy and Allen Barseth of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren, Jeff, Mark and Steve Wright and Katherine Barseth. Two brothers, Glenn Rohrbacher of Monroeville, Pennsylvania and Howard Rohrbacher who resides in Ocala, Florida also survive.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or to Immaculate Conception School for the enhancement of technology.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at North Little Rock Funeral Home, with Vigil Service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
