Harry Mullins, a beloved husband, father, PePa, and a cherished friend to many, passed away on October 31, 2024 at the age of 78. Born on August 4, 1946, Harry dedicated his life to both family and career, leaving a profound impact on those who knew him.
Harry enjoyed a distinguished career as a Millwright at Union Carbide and its successors, where he devoted over 60 years before retiring. His commitment to his profession reflected his strong work ethic and determination.
Beyond his work, Harry’s proudest accomplishment was marrying the love of his life, Carol Mullins, on April 20, 1969. Together, they built a loving family that flourished under his guidance and support. He was the father of two sons and was also a doting grandfather to nine grandchildren, with whom he shared countless treasured moments; he also had a big spot in his heart for his dogs, whom he loved dearly.
A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Harry’s service to his country further highlighted his character and dedication. His loving nature and warm spirit brought joy to all who crossed his path, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Harry is survived by his wife, Carol Mullins; his sons, Greg (Anne) Mullins, and Jeff Mullins; his grandchildren; his brothers, Jim and Deborah Mullins, and Sam Mullins, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Mildred Mullins; his two year old daughter, Debra Mullins; and his brother, Willie "Bill" Mullins.
Visitation services will be held on November 4, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas, with full military honors being presented by the US Army. A burial service will follow on November 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM, also at Smith Family Funeral Home.
Harry Mullins leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and memories that will linger in the hearts of all who knew him. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the lives of his family and friends.
