Harry E. Sylar, Jr., 74, of Conway, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was born March 3, 1948 to Harry and Bernice Sylar in Memphis, Tennessee and was their only child. He spent his childhood in Holly Grove, AR, where he later graduated high school. He was athletic and played football, basketball, and ran track. He went on to attend the University of Arkansas Fayetteville on a football scholarship. He enlisted in the Navy and served several years. His military career included several tours in Vietnam. In 1977, he married Janet Holt and they had one daughter. Janet passed away in December of 1997. Harry never remarried.
He is survived by his only child, Susan and 4 grandchildren, Hayden,Carsyn, Sawyer, and Rhys. He lived in Conway for 15 years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, golfing, grabbing a drink at Centennial with the guys, following Razorback football, but most of all, he loved his family. His grandkids were so special to him, and they gave him a reason to keep going. He felt blessed to spend the last 6 years of his life seeing them every day. He always strived to be the very best in everything he did. He loved his professional life in real estate and met so many people. He loved the Conway community.
