Harriet Smith Frazer, 69, of North Little Rock, died on April 25, 2007 at Hospice Home Care Inpatient Center in Little Rock. She was born in Dumas, Arkansas on August 14, 1937, the only child of Cornelia Peacock Smith, an educator, and Harold Jasper Smith, an accountant. She was a 1955 graduate of Tallulah High School in Tallulah, LA and a 1958 graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA.

She was a fifty year member of Sigma Kappa sorority and served it through participation on its national council and through 40 years of active involvement with the Delta Tau chapter at the University of Central Arkansas and the Central Arkansas Alumnae chapter.

She joined the faculty of Pulaski Technical College as a business education instructor in 1978. She subsequently earned a master?s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Central Arkansas and was promoted to the position of Dean of Instruction at Pulaski Technical College. She retired from that position in 1999 but continued to serve the college until her death.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Bernard Frazer; a daughter Miah Frazer Michaelsen, son-in-law Jonathan Michaelsen and grandchildren Brendan and Wyeth all of Bloomington, Indiana; a son Bryan Frazer, daughter-in-law Angela Frazer and grandchildren Brittney and Conor all of North Little Rock; dear friend and sorority sister Barbara Fenters of Fullerton, California and numerous sorority sisters, colleagues, neighbors and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to: The Sigma Kappa Foundation, 8733 Founders Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46268.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Hendon, Gregory Schick, Demp Dempsey, Ben Wyatt, Jim Orintas & Steve Wells.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the North Little Rock Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Powell officiating. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Walnut Lake Cemetery in Dumas. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, (501)758-1170.
