Harold Kindrick

Harold Jay Kindrick, 92, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015. He was born June 27, 1923 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Harold was the son of Jesse James Kindrick and Bertha Peters Kindrick. He was a World War II Army veteran, having fought in the battlefront campaigns theatre of operations at Ardennes, Northern and Southern France, Central Europe, Rhineland, and Normandy, receiving 6 bronze battle stars and a recipient of the French Legion of Honor.
He is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister; Col. Joe L. Kindrick, William R. Kindrick, and Velva Cocks.
Harold is survived by his wife of 57 years Melvalea Roddy Kindrick and five children: Sharon Berg (Jerry) of Seattle, WA, Harold Kindrick, Jr of Little Rock, AR, James Kindrick (Betty) of North Little Rock, AR, Sheryl Rice (Roger) of Knoxville, TN, and Karen Corn (Tony) of Cabot, AR; fourteen grandchildren, Janette Sequino, Eirik Berg, Aaron, Berg, Jason Kindrick, Benjamin Bowen, Christina Hart, Jesse Kindrick, Chris Kindrick, J.R. Rice, Roger Rice III, Rachel Rice, Justin Rice, A.J. Corn, Brent Corn, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Pam Whitley. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
