Harold Britton

Harold Eugene Britton, Sr., age 92 of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away November 24, 2016 at 1:50 am. He was born on May 9, 1924 in South Haven, Kansas; he was the son of Walter Adophus Britton and Mary Edith.

Harold was the owner and operator of Harold's Truck and Auto Service for 10 years. He was a member of The First Christian Church and enjoyed camping, fishing, and yard work.

He is preceded in death by his son Harold E. Britton Jr., his parents Walter and Mary Britton, his wife Evelyn Blanche Britton, and his brothers Wilfred Britton and Jack Britton.

Survivors include daughter Nancy Hastings, son-in-law Joe Hastings; grandchildren Christian Hastings, Dana Hastings Venable, Rachael Britton; great-grandchildren Joshua Sunwall, Leah Sunwall, Skylar Hastings, Elizabeth Burby and Nicholas Burby. His sister Marie Giggy, brother-in-law Billy Arnold and wife Jimmie Lee, sister-in-law Sue Ellis, sister-in-law Mary Ena Britton and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 Maryland, North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Visitation will begin at 11:30 am until 12:30 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers please make all donations to the Baptist Health Heart Transplant/VAD Program in c/o The Baptist Health Foundation.
