Harley Derrick

The Lord came to Harley and said "You fought a long and hard battle but now it's time to go and walk with me. On the way we must stop and write in a book and tell others how long and hard you fought for all to see, for what you did is one for the books". Harley Lafayette Derrick (Jr.) of North Little Rock passed on Christmas morning, December 25, 2020, from natural causes. He was born February 6, 1942 in North Little Rock to the late Harley (Sr.) and Pearl Derrick. He was preceded in death by sisters: Velda Ann Sandberg and Barbara Sue Martin.

Harley married the late Paula Parrish Derrick in 1964 and afterwards enjoyed a happy, dedicated marriage until her passing in 2007. He appreciated spending time with his family which included; two daughters, Traci Derrick and Shannon Murry, grandchildren Jessica, Jacob and Willie, and great-grandchildren Melvin and Kasie, as well as many extended family members and friends.

A 1960 graduate of North Little Rock High School, he owned 'Harley Derrick Curb and Gutter' until 1988 when he began his 30 year career at Wal-Mart. His hobbies included water skiing, building scale models and hunting over the years with friends. In his honor, feel free to wear camo colors to service.
