Our family lost a beautiful, energetic, kind, compassionate and lovely soul on July 5, 2023. Hannah Marie Eddington Lamb, born February 21, 1992, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 31. Hannah was born in Little Rock, raised in Benton, Ark. and lived in Nashville, Tenn. She was an intelligent, curious, caring, strong willed, and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, teacher and friend. She loved dancing, playing with her daughters, reading, singing, and playing board games at family gatherings. Hannah had a gift of lighting up a room with her bright, beautiful smile.
Hannah graduated from Benton High School, and then went on to study at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, graduating with highest honors. She earned a master’s degree in elementary education at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She met her husband, Drew Lamb, while they were working with underserved youth as part of Project Transformation-Tennessee. They were married on May 23, 2015. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Eloise (4) and Viola (13 months). Hannah loved her daughters fiercely. She was proud to be an elementary school teacher at Eakin Elementary for the Metro Nashville School District.
Hannah is survived by her husband Drew, her daughters Eloise and Viola, her parents Steve and Vanna McCauley Eddington of Benton, her sister Sarah (Mandar) of St. Louis, Mo., her brother Samuel (Hannah) of North Little Rock, her grandmother Judy McCauley of Okolona and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Charles Wayne Eddington, Edith Himel Eddington, and Harvey Wayne McCauley, as well as her uncles David Eddington and Rick McCauley.
A visitation will be held at First United Methodist Church in Benton on Monday, July 10 at 12:00 pm and a memorial service will be held immediately following at 1:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at Okolona Cemetery in Okolona (Clark County).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hannah may be made to Project Transformation Arkansas and Project Transformation Tennessee.
