Haley Nicole Olmsted passed away from a sudden illness on March 8, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She leaves behind her father and mother, Jon and Susan Olmsted; her brother, Garrett; her paternal grandparents, Robert and Nell Olmsted and her maternal grandparents, Fred and Kathy Quick; maternal aunt, Tammy Santich; her paternal aunt and uncle, Jeff and Cheryl Olmsted; and cousins, Ian Olmsted and Anthony and Robert Santich. She also leaves behind her special families - Tammy, Kiley, Lauren, Josh, Maegan, Peyton, and Jude London, and Bob, Nancy, Erin and Trent Childress.
Haley was born May 21, 1992, and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. After graduating from Little Rock Christian Academy, she attended Ouachita Baptist University and Belmont University in Nashville. She was recently finishing her Elementary Education degree at UALR.
Haley loved animals, from cows to whales, but above all others, she was passionate about her own dogs. She loved to run, exercise, read, and watched and re-watched her favorite television shows and movies. Haley had a special spirit that all those who knew her enjoyed and admired. To strangers, she was a quiet, shy, beautiful girl. To those who knew her, she was goofy, fun-loving, and had more "voices" than a comedian. Haley kept her circle of friends small and loved them passionately. She was truly a blessing to all of her family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, March 10 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 11, at Chenal Valley Church of Christ, 16025 Taylor Loop Road, officiated by Mr. Danny Burleson.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate gifts made to the Humane Society of Little Rock in Haley's memory.
