Guy Kevin Floyd

Guy Kevin Floyd, age 64, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

He was born on August 24, 1957, in Malvern, the son of Orval Eugene Floyd and Melva Jean Robbins Floyd. He was preceded in death by his father.

In 1979 Kevin graduated from Arkansas Tech in Russellville, with a Bachelors’ degree, and went on to work for many years at Arkansas Nuclear One. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid Razorback and St. Louis Cardinals fan and especially enjoyed following his boys’ sporting events during their school years. Kevin also enjoyed going to the drag car races with his best friend, Ronald Love.

Kevin deeply loved his family, especially his grandchildren, who fondly named him “Peepaw” and his daughters-in-law, whom he always loved and treated as if they were his own daughters. His greatest joy in life was spending time on the farm, cooking out and making memories. Kevin will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him, but he has left each of us with our own special memories of him that we will cherish for a lifetime.

Kevin is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin Shane and Sarah Floyd of Russellville and Sean Eugene and Bethany Floyd of Lubbock, Texas; four grandchildren, Camden Shane Floyd, Griffin Cooper Floyd, Kinslee Grace Floyd and Kendall Ann Floyd; his mother, Melva Jean Floyd; his sister, Tana Floyd, both of Norman; and numerous extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 3, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood.
