Guila Turner

Guila Grace Turner, 98, of North Little Rock, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018. She was born in Belleville, Arkansas on January 15, 1920 to Alf and Willie Mae Satterfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John V. Turner; parents; and four siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Kai Hogue (Mike), of Ft. Smith and Mary John Rogers (Ronnie), of Bentonville; grandchildren, Kyle Shimek (Becky), Mika Beth Edwards (Matt), Mary Kate Webb (Michael), Allison Wike (Jeff) and John Rogers; and her great-grandchildren, Drew and Annie Kate Shimek, Garrett and Mary Claire Wike, Addison, Turner Grace and Sophie Edwards, Lexie, John Matthew and Gabriel Rogers and Cooper, Hadley and Libby Webb.
She was a long time educator for North Little Rock School District. She was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church in North Little Rock.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. in McFadden Cemetery in Dover, Arkansas.
