Greg Dowdy

Greg Dowdy, age 52, of Texarkana, Texas, formerly of Fancy Hill, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016. He was born on March 22, 1963 in North Bend, Oregon, the son of Robert A. Dowdy and Imogene Frances Miller Dowdy. He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Kevin Dowdy. A retired truck driver, he enjoyed his garden and his animals, especially his dog, Sallie Mae. He loved to play with his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his mother, Imogene Dowdy of Texarkana, Texas; three siblings and their spouses, Robin and Allen Kirkpatrick of Texarkana, Texas, Tony Dowdy of Fancy Hill and Trent and Carolyn Dowdy of Chireno, Texas; and his nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 7, 2016, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Walter Graham officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Fancy Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray Dowdy, Jody Dowdy, Ronald Dowdy, Donald Dowdy, Terry Avery, Troy Dowdy, Lonnie Wayne Miller and Steve Miller. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
