Grant Eaton

Grant Calvin Eaton of Searcy passed away May 15, 2016. He was born in Seattle, Washington on August 2, 1927 to the late Grover C. and Margaret Eaton.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn A. Eaton; daughter, Marilyn Harkness and son-in-law, Gregg Harkness; grandson, Grant C. Harkness and wife Raphaela; granddaughter, Valerie Harkness; and stepdaughter, April Janow.
Grant proudly enlisted in the Navy and served in both World War II and the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Brown DD-546 in the Pacific. After retirement Grant became an active member in the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite here in Arkansas. During his business career he was active in the Elks organization in California. He was also a proud member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Grant was an amazing husband, father, Christian, volunteer and friend.
A private family service will take place at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Grant's honor to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2509 W. Beebe-Capps Expwy., Searcy, Arkansas 72143.
