Mr. McMillan attended the Virginia Military Institute, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1965 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. While at Wisconsin he was a member of the varsity swimming team. In 1963 he was elected to the NCAA All America Team for his specialty, the 50-yard freestyle.
Mr. McMillan most recently worked for BEI Precision Systems and Space Co. in Maumelle, Arkansas, designing computer systems for the NASA Space Station and Hubbell Telescope. His professional career included positions with the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics and International Business Machines (IBM), where he worked on command control, guidance and sonar systems for the Trident Submarine and the Cruise Missile.
