Grace Wilcox

Grace Wilcox, 82, of North Little Rock, beloved mother, grandmother and friend finished her journey and passed on from this life, Saturday, February 17, 2007. She was born April 29, 1924 in Cheatham County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of John Jackson and Angeline Newman. She retired after many years as manager of the shoe department at Dillard?s in North Little Rock. She has been a longtime member of Cedar Heights Baptist Church in North Little Rock.
Her mother and father, her husband, Lloyd Adrian Wilcox and her brothers, Charles Newman, Marshall Newman and J.B. Newman, precede Grace in death.
Grace?s most treasured accomplishments included her abundant children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her six children, Sharron Taylor of Maumelle, Lloyd A. Wilcox, Jr. of Mayflower, Maria Lafferty of Pine Bluff, Jeffery Wilcox of North Little Rock, Kathy Sugg of Hensley and Robert Wilcox of Biloxi, Mississippi. She leaves behind ten grandchildren, Tamela Turbeville and Scarlett Box both of White Hall, Craig Busbea of Jackson, Mississippi, Angela McCrary of San Diego, California, Carl Lafferty of Oxford, Mississippi, Shawn Wilcox and Stephanie Turner both of Mayflower, Shane Wilcox of Hensley, Christy Dillavou of Coy, Grayson Wilcox of Biloxi, Mississippi; and 22 great ? grandchildren. Numerous extended family, friends and neighbors also cherished her.
Services to honor Grace will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Edgewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
