In loving memory of Grace M. King, whose vibrant spirit departed from this world on May 28th, 2024. Grace was born on January 4th, 1952, in Grady, Arkansas, and her life was a masterpiece of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family.
Grace was an extraordinary woman who excelled in the art of Interior Design, particularly showcasing her talent with upholstery. Her creativity knew no bounds as she transformed spaces into works of art that brought joy to all who experienced them. Grace's passion for design shone brightly in every project she undertook, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to witness her work.
Described as feisty and fiercely family-oriented, Grace was the matriarch who served as the glue that held her family together. She was a leader, always watching over her loved ones with a protective gaze and a heart full of boundless love. Known for her witty sense of humor and playful nature, Grace found joy in making others laugh and creating cherished memories with her dear ones.
In her journey through life, Grace touched the hearts of many with her wisdom and sincerity. Her words were imbued with meaning and depth, reflecting a soul that cared deeply for those around her. Whether through sage advice or a well-timed joke, Grace's presence left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Grace is preceded in death by her father and mother, Reverend Wilbert Cleophus King and Maree Callins; and her children: Orlando Madison, Sr., Michelle King, and LaQuita King. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be carried forward by her surviving family and friends.
Grace’s memory is left to be cherished by her son, Ulenzen King of Bryant, AR; grandchildren: Markevious King Sr., Safari King Tatum, Orlando Madison Jr., Paige Jackson, Elijah Clegg; great-grandchildren: Parker Grace Johnson, Markevious King Jr., Cartier King, Kingston King, Cannon King; as well as her siblings: Jesse Knight Sr., Lulu Chaney, Frank Chaney, Martha Jones, Linda Jackson, Brenda King, James Jones, Carolyn Clegg, Angela Townsend, Kimothy Callins, Nicole Callins, Cynthia McCann (Bernard), Victoria King-Shelton (Craig), Wilma Maynie (Keith), Shelia Slater (Steven), Carla King-Chambers (Samuel), Michael King, Vantanett King (Lawrence), and Kina King (Trent). Among those mourning her passing are a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones, and close friends.
In honor of Grace's remarkable life and the impact she made on those around her, a visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at Smith Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, AR 72015. A celebration of life will immediately follow from 2:30 to 3:30 PM at the same location.
