Gordon Robertson

Gordon Randy Robertson, 84, of Little Rock, passed away peacefully in his home March 14, 2021. He was born on January 26, 1937, in Little Rock to the late Gordon and Virginia Robertson. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Phenix of Carmichael, California and her children, and Thomas Berglund of Kentwood, Louisiana and his children, along with his long time girlfriend, Edna Savoy of Hot Springs.

He graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1954 and attended the University of Arkansas on a tennis scholarship. After graduating from the U of A with a degree in Psychology, he entered the U.S. Army where he served as a Psychological Assistant.  Upon leaving military service, he earned a Masters of Arts degree from East Carolina College. Following a career in counseling spent in many states, he enjoyed traveling the world visiting a number of countries in his own unique way.

Following the passing of his parents he returned to the Heights neighborhood home that his parents purchased when he was three years old. He enjoyed all of his many pets, especially Harpo, throughout the years and exercising at the War Memorial fitness center. He also was an excellent Bridge player and was an avid reader of poetry and also composed many poems. He enjoyed typing and sending letters to friends and family members. He really enjoyed sitting on his porch while doing crossword puzzles, visiting with friends, and just watching the world go by. Randy touched countless lives and left a lasting impression on each and every one of them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A special thanks to Thomas Berglund, Anna Berglund, Eikharia Sado and the staff at Kindred Hospice for the care they gave.
