Gordon Leroy Koder, 75, went to his eternal home on April 11, 2022. Leroy was born on November 16, 1946 in Bryant, Arkansas to the late Frank and Bonnie Koder. Leroy is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Shiela Koder and brother Ronnie Koder.
Leroy is a United States Army veteran. He served in The Vietnam War during 1965-1967. Leroy worked at Saline County Road Department where he retired after 30 years.
He is survived by his son, Brett Koder; daughter, Monica Koder; son, Dusty Koder (Angel); brother, Bill Koder (Blenda); sister, Bonita Winters (Jessie); granddaughter, Audrey Cason (Zach); grandson, Brody Koder; his two great-grandsons, Beau and Forrest “Odie” Cason; and countless other family members and many friends.
Leroy was a true craftsman. Together, he and Shiela made many ideas come to life. Just as Shiela was “Honey” to her family, Leroy was “Pappy”. There wasn’t much that Honey and Pappy wouldn’t do for the people they loved. Pappy was always willing to lend a hand, whip something up in the shop for a friend, or go and get anything you might need. He wasn’t just a craftsman; he had a true passion for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were a big part of his life for many years. We will miss being able to just spend time with him and watch him bring his ideas to life. All of us can rest easy now knowing he is at peace with the love of his life.
Graveside service, officiated by Bro. Jake Sky-Eagle, will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 14, at Fowler Cemetery in Paron, Arkansas.
