Goldie Middlebrook

Goldie Middlebrook, age 89, of Glenwood, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014. She was born on May 27, 1924, in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, the daughter of John Levy Odom and Mary Josephine Patrick Odom. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Jerry Elgen, Alvin Elgen and Elwood Elgen; her grandson, Jeff Elgen; and her granddaughter, Janice Cordoza. She is survived by her husband, Addie "Buddy" Middlebrook of Glenwood; two daughters, Bernice Bostick and her husband, Vic, and Laverne Elgen Adkins and her husband, Sammy; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Elgen; seven grandchildren, Rusty Jordan, David Elgen, Charlene Elgen, Angela Phillips, Candice Falls, Myke Stovall and Brandy Elgen-Maroney; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 11, 2014, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Bob Wiyott officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Interment will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 12, 2014, in the Shady Grove Cemetery in Bald Knob under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
