Goldie Laverne Dodson, 69, of Little Rock, passed away November 23, 2007. Goldie was born on February 27, 1938 in Mountain View, Arkansas to James Monroe Wallis and Jinnie Fitzhugh Wallis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Dodson; her parents; her son, Bruce Dodson; brothers, James and Bill Wallis; and sisters, Lola Holmes and Virginia Franks. She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Joyce Thacker (Todd) of Alexander, Arkansas; one sister, Lorene Franks of Mountain View, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Justin, Peyton and Ethan Thacker.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner of I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 28 at Crystal Hill Baptist Church. Graveside service will follow at 4:00 p.m., at Levisy Flat Cemetery in Mountain View, with Rev. Larry Ballard officiating.
