Goldie Burnes
Goldie Burnes, 83, of North Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013. She was an Avon representative who enjoyed collecting as well as selling. She enjoyed trips and "running garage sales with her daughters."
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Mathes, Janet Gauntt both of North Little Rock, Patsy Appleberry (Wayne) of Lonoke and Jennifer Snyder (Robert "Bob") of North Little Rock; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Burnes; parents, R. L. and Lois Felkins; brothers, R. L. Felkins (JR). and Van Felkins; sons-in-law, Gary Mathes and Wayne Gauntt. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72207.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home. Burial will in Arkansas Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
