Gloria J. KinCannon, age 86, of Glenwood, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
She was born on September 24, 1935, in Hood River, Oregon, the daughter of Floyd Sanford Sallee and Catherine Campbell Sallee. On April 21, 1958, she was married to the love of her life, Norman KinCannon, who preceded her in death on January 20, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Sanford Sallee and Hank Sallee; and one sister, Jackie Kurts.
Gloria loved the Lord and was a dedicated pastor’s wife for thirty-eight years, always helping him in many capacities in the churches he pastored, and she was currently a member of The Well Assembly in Hot Springs, where her son is the pastor. She loved gardening and enjoyed canning or freezing what she would grow so she could share with her family and friends all through the year. Gloria was a fantastic cook, and her family would even argue that she was the “best cook in the world” because everyone always loved everything she prepared. One of the greatest memories her family has is her beautiful smile, no matter what was happening in her life, she always had a smile that could brighten and bring happiness to everyone in the room.
Gloria was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, who she loved and adored. She will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing and loving her.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Raymond and Kelly KinCannon of Minneapolis, Randy and Lynn KinCannon of Point Cedar, Doug and Lonna KinCannon of Bonnerdale and Surae KinCannon of Glenwood; ten grandchildren, Jeffery, Brittany, Tiffany, Trista, Annie, Chris, Anthony, Michael, R. J. Josh and Jeremy; eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Tommy Sallee of Port Orchard, Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in the Mazarn Chapel Cemetery with her son, Bro. Doug KinCannon officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood.
Pallbearers will be Chris KinCannon, Anthony KinCannon, Michael KinCannon, R. J. KinCannon, Josh KinCannon and Jeremy Lindsey.
