Glenn Lindsey, 91, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born December 15, 1917, at Sheldon, Iowa, to Frank and Charolette (Englehart) Lindsey, and he died Friday, July 10, 2009. He was a retired plumber from Santa Maria, California who owned his own business. He was a WWII Army veteran who earned the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal with two Bronze Stars and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with two Bronze Stars. Glenn was a member of Southern California Pipe Fitters Union for fifty years and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. His hobbies were fishing and gardening.
Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Clotine Lindsey; his parents; two brothers, Francis and Donald; and two sisters, Dorothy and Violet. He is survived by his children, Robert and Margie Lindsey, Linda and Philip Southwick, Cheri Childs, Donna and Arley Lewis, Debbie and Leamon Norton, and Vern Lindsey; thirteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements by Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the Beebe VFW club.
