Glenn Kays

Glenn Kays, 85, went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2021.  He was born May 31, 1936 near Judsonia, AR to the late Pearl and Garrett Kays.

He graduated from Searcy High School in 1954 and attended Harding College then joined the US Army achieving the rank of Sergeant. One of his first jobs out of the military was working on the Rocket Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He worked with a number of Steel firms and retired from Schueck Steel at the age of 80.

He is survived by Sylvia, his wife of 64 years, and three children Denise Phillips (Cliff) of Lee's Summit, MO, Greg Kays (Heidi) of Red Wing, MN, and Angela  Driskill (Gerald) of Bryant, AR as well as 7 grandchildren: Lexi  Donley (Dave), Logan Ritchie (Alex), Luke Kays (Kaitlin), Lucas Phillips, Kara Phillips, Eli Driskill (Katie), and Abby Driskill;  and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, December 3 followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.

He has been a faithful member of the Church of Christ since he was a young man.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Corin Read Christian Camp c/o Northside Church of Christ, 917 N East St Benton AR 72015.
