Glenn R. Irons

Glenn R. Irons, age 83, of Mount Ida, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023.

He was born on January 15, 1940, in Washita, the son of Carroll E. Irons and Ethel Winnie Duncan Irons.  He was preceded by his son, Russell Irons; his parents; and his sister, Bernell Caldwell.

On July 17, 1965, Glenn married the true love of his life, Bonnie Sue Carter, and together they created a wonderful life full of many cherished memories.  Glenn was a United States Army veteran, and a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Mount Ida. For over twenty-eight years Glenn worked as an equipment operator for the Montgomery County Road Department.  He enjoyed buying and selling all kinds of things, especially old cars and trucks.  He also enjoyed riding his tractor, and always kept his property looking great.  Another favorite of Glenn's was loafing with his friends in Mount Ida.

Above all, Glenn will be remembered as a wonderful husband and family man, who had a deep love and respect for his family and friends.  He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Irons of Mount Ida; his stepson, Troy Caudle and his wife, Liz, of Bentonville; his granddaughter, Alyssa Hesser and her husband, Travis, of Fenton, Missouri; his great-grandsons, Jack Hesser and Rhett Hesser; and numerous extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
