Glenda Jane Fleming

Glenda Jane Fleming, age 70, of Newhope, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015. She was born on March 17, 1945 at Cove, the daughter of Tom Cureton and Vona Fair Cureton. On June 16, 1962, she was married to Ronnie Fleming. She was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Fleming; and five sisters, Adele Kutch, Myrtle Brazill, Peggy Cureton, Louise Cureton and Wanda Bailey. Glenda was a kind, generous, thoughtful person with a great sense of humor. She loved her family and friends dearly and held them sacred to her heart. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Fleming of Newhope; two sons, Ronnie Fleming, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia and James Fleming of Conway; her daughter, Kisha Fleming of Newhope; three granddaughters, Laura Fleming, Amanda Crockett and Erin Fleming; two grandsons, Capt. William Fleming, USA and Hunter Fleming; two great-grandsons, Gavin Crockett and Carter Fleming; two brothers, Buck Cureton of Vandervoort and Nick Cureton of Mena; her sister, Daisy Jacobs of Cove; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 30, 2015, in the First Baptist Church of Cove with Bro. Ron Ladd officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, in the Fleming Cemetery in Hot Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Charles Back, Charles Donahue, David Dutton, Kelly Jacobs, Harrell Sherwood and William Fleming. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Cureton, Gary Dutton, Kenneth Jacobs, Scott Jacobs and Quinton Owens. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
