Glen Eldon Malicoat

Glen Eldon Malicoat, age 62, of Glenwood, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018. He was born on August 11, 1956, in Nashville, the son of Alice Shirley and the late Charles Eldon Malicoat. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Lowery Malicoat; and his nephews, Joshua Hearn. He will always be remembered for traveling many miles the last several years going from flea market to flea market, where he enjoyed hunting for hidden treasures. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Alice Shirley of Glenwood; two daughters, Glenda Smith and Jennifer Jones, both of Hot Springs; one stepson, Donnie Ketchum of Osage, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, Tyler Milstead, Alex Milstead, Sheri Mosley, Landon Davis, Keiyonna Summerville, Hunter Ketchum, Brandon Ketchum, Breanna Ketchum, Chelsea Brotherton, Jessica Ketchum Wilson and Christopher Ketchum Wilson; eight great-grandchildren, Landon, Heaven, Jayden, Makenzie, Nashallae, Kendall, Gage and Keaton; two sisters, Connie Hearn of Glenwood and Gloria Roberts of Hot Springs; two brothers, David Shirley of Donaldson and Kevin Shirley of Glenwood; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 28, 2018, in the Coker Cemetery with Bro. Bob Huggins officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be David Shirley, Kevin Shirley, Michael Crail, Tyler Milstead, Alex Milstead and Cody Davidson. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Arkansas Hospice Inpatient and Jason, Casey and Chrystal of the home care unit for their excellent care of our son and brother.
