Glen Neal “Duck” Daniels, 83, of Benton, Arkansas passed away January 17, 2023. He was born November 15, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Earnest and Ruby Tilley Daniels.
Glen was a graduate of Mabelvale High School. He worked in the composing department at Arkansas Gazette, prior to it being renamed to Arkansas Democrat/Gazette. Glen was a member of Benton First United Methodist Church and the Covenant Class. He was also a member of Iron Springs Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star. Glen served as a Red Coat at the Arkansas State Capitol. Some of Glen’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He was his grandchildrens’ and great-grandchildrens’ number one fan and went to many of their sporting events to cheer them on. Glen enjoyed telling good jokes. Problem was, Glen rarely finished telling them as he would be laughing so hard, he never got to the punchline!

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 62 years, Linda Daniels of Benton, Arkansas; daughters: Karen Calaway of Benton, Arkansas and Sharon Hopkins and her husband Wade of Fayetteville, Arkansas; 6 grandchildren: Taylor Doan (Justin) of Benton, Brittany Garrigus (Zach) of Benton, Adam Calaway of Benton, Natalie Jobe (Kaleb) of Fayetteville, Connor Calaway (Britt) of Adrian, Michigan, and Nick Hopkins (Madison) of Fayetteville; 9 great-grandchildren: Cali Doan, Nathaniel Garrigus, Jackson Garrigus, Brayleigh Garrigus, Adalynn Garrigus, Griffin Calaway, Henry Jobe, Easton Jobe, and Blakely Jobe; sister, Patrician Ann Black of Little Rock, Arkansas; and a host of family members and friends who love Glen and will miss him always.
