Gleason “Dub” Allen, Jr., 76, of Hot Springs died August 14, 2023. Dub, a Photojournalist and Master Sergeant of the U.S. Marine Corps, served 22 years on active duty followed by decades of Federal service.
A graduate of Hall High School and the University of Arkansas, Dub is the son of the late Emily B. Allen and grandson of the late Robert and Forthelia Blair of Sweet Home. His memory is carried by his wife Jessa; daughter Brandi; son Lee; brother Wally; and sister Ashley. Dub is survived by a loving extended family of two step sons, two nieces, five nephews, 10 grandchildren, and countless friends around the world.
A Rosary will be held at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. Little Rock, AR on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 6:00pm followed by a visitation from 7:00-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. Little Rock, AR on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 10:00am. Dub will be laid to rest at The National Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 11:30am.
