Gladys Victoria Coswell Brown was born March 16, 1941 (celebrated April 23rd) to the late Jack and Mamie L. Mack Coswell. She was united in holy matrimony to the late George W. Brown and they were married for more than 25 years.
She accepted Jesus as her Savior early in life; in 1978 she joined Greater Trinity Church of God in Christ where she grew in her knowledge of Jesus Christ and served on the usher board for a number of years.
Gladys returned to school in her 50s to become an LPN (License Practical Nurse). She loved caring for people and absolutely loved her job. She believed that when she cared for her patients she was an extension of Godâs hands and heart. She shared His love to many in a number of Nursing Care Facilities in Little Rock, Arkansas until her health would not allow.
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Flora Shelain Evans (Charles) of Conway Arkansas and Cecile B. Madden (Rick) of Conway, Arkansas; son, George A. Brown, Sr (Melissa) North Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters, the late Rosa Lee Thomas, North Little Rock; the late Catherine Myles, Little Rock, Arkansas; the late James Coswell, Conway, Arkansas; Sister in Law, Barbara Brandon (Clyde) Wrightsville, Arkansas; Jeweline Johnson, Los Angeles, California and Christine Evans (Edward) of Toad Suck, Arkansas; grandchildren: Alicia Cox (Dedric) of Conway, Arkansas, Clairrissa Collins (Larry Duran) of Garland, Texas, Charles Evans, Jr., Paul William, Drake Brown, George Brown, Jr., Bryunna Brown, Bryce Stapleton, Lauren Madden, and Noah Stapleton; great grandchildren: Lawrence, Lawson, Alexis, Alivia, Drew, Langston and Landon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
