Gladys Middleton

On Monday, November 30, 2020, Gladys Middleton, age 92, the wonderful mother God blessed us with, went to be with the Lord at her home in Cabot, Arkansas.

Gladys was born February 13, 1928 in Athens, Arkansas to Henry and Alva Davis.  She graduated RN school in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1950, and retired from nursing in 1989.

She was a devoted Christian and attended Cocklebur Baptist Church.  She loved being outdoors, and enjoyed fishing and camping.

Gladys is survived by her son, William Rick Middleton, and her daughter Marilyn Applewhite, both of Cabot, Arkansas; two sisters Sheila Montgomery (Bob) and Edith Berry (Rick); two grandchildren, Amy Peltzer and Allen Taylor; twelve great grandchildren, and seven great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Middleton, three sisters and one brother.

Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.  Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
