Gillette Breshears
Our Mother, Gillette Breshears was born January 26, 1924. She was 94 years young. She was a nurturer, mentor, caregiver, friend, teacher and the best Christian role model. Mom went to be with our Lord on August 4, 2018 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Mom was the daughter of Willis and Frances Daughtery of Mobile, Alabama. She was a nurse at Norfolk Naval Air Station where she met the love of her life, Ross Breshears, a Public School nurse and an instructor at St. Vincent Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter, Nita and son, Don. She has three grandchildren and five great grandchildren and one surviving sister, Myrna Sandlin.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made Gideons-L.R.N.W. Camp, P.O. Box 21313, Little Rock, AR 72221-1313. (who distributes Bibles worldwide)
With Dr. Rex M. Horne, Jr., officiating, funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 16th at Immanuel Baptist Church Chapel where Mom has been a member for 71 years. Visitation will precede the service starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery starting at 1:00 p.m.
