Gilbert Rodriguez, 69, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday, August 28, 2011. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 31 years; Glenda, 4 brothers; Joe, Hector, Trinidad and Dale Rodriguez, 3 sisters; Eva Ybarra, Alice Tamez and Diane Lopez, all of South Texas, 5 children; Gilbert Jr., Robert, Harvey, Johnny and Gloria Rodriguez, 2 step-children; Charles Tyson, Glenda Glass, 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; He will be remembered for the kind heart, cheerful spirit and always a helping hand. We love you, husband, Dad, Gilbert and Papaw. He is also known for 'gravel dirt, paper toilet, shicken, and shooshpick'. With a lot of laughs behind these words!
He was preceded in death by his parents; Trinidad and Adela Rodriguez and one daughter; Cynthia Byford and one sister; Gloria Salinas.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, September 2, 2011 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Little Rock, AR. The Rosary will be at 7P.M. followed by visitation at Peaceful Haven Funeral Home.
