Gilbert Davis

Gilbert L. “Gil” Davis, 80, of Conway, died Saturday, August 2, 2014, at his home. He was born July 20, 1934 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Peter L. Davis and Edith Sanders Davis. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Janet Martin. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Conway, a Gideon, a retired school teacher in Arkansas and a retired Major with the Air Force Reserve. Survivors include his wife, Janet Withrow Davis of the home; three sons, Cecil Davis and Kathy of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Roger Davis and Teresa of Mooresville, North Carolina, and Glen Wilson and Karen of Conway; one daughter, Terri Ebest and Ken of Houston, Texas; eleven grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 6, at 10:00 a.m. at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway, with Stan Young officiating.
