Gerard Paul Wyatt, 66, of Beebe, Arkansas, formerly of Cary, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord February 5, 2020. He was born to the late Frank and Elsie Wyatt in Beaumont, Texas, on September 5, 1953.
Gerard lived in Cary, North Carolina and worked for St. Lawrence Homes for over thirty years. He became one of the most trusted employees/friends and helped restore a baseball park for the Newark Pilots, and The Ohman Theater. In the aftermath of Katrina, Gerard aided by delivering a fire truck to a devastated community.
He loved being outdoors, whether it was golfing, boating, fishing or enjoying the ocean. Gerard enjoyed working with his hands, building the first house he ever owned, and building toys for his grandchildren for Christmas. It was evident in all he did that his greatest love was his family.
He was preceded in death by a dear friend, MaryAnn Cimato of Cary, North Carolina.
Gerard is survived by four children, Christina “Missy” Haley (Brandon), Matthew Wyatt, Kara Wyatt, and Cassie Wyatt (Justin); nine grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Michael Wyatt (Nancy), Franklin Wyatt (Madeleine), Granville Wyatt (Cathy); his beloved dog, Coco; and many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at New Life Church in Beebe Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.smithfamilycares.com
