Geraldine Jenkins Powell, 83, of North Little Rock died Monday, April 23, 2012. She is survived by her sister, Alma McWilliams; daughter, Monica Everett; three granddaughters, Kimberly Vandergriff, Samantha Dedman and Christina Avance; grandson, Christopher Dedman; and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Bertha Jenkins; son, Jimmy Walker; sister, Evelyn Hamlett; grandson, Jimmy Dawson and life-long partner John Aaron.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
