Geraldine "Judy" Jones

Geraldine “Judy” Jones, 90, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away June 5, 2023. She was born April 6, 1933, in Walcott, Arkansas to the late Thomas and Claude (Strickland) Cothern.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents and six sisters. She is survived by her children, Deborah Farley Houck (Mike), Larry Farley, Gary Farley, Terry Farley (Reina); grandchildren, Phillip Chism, Josh Chism, Corey Farley; and four great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. 

Judy was a hardworking, single mother that raised four children and supported her whole family. She was a strong-willed, stubborn, beautiful woman who fiercely loved her family. She loved to travel, especially cruising, with her daughter and son-in-love. Judy loved her country and always had a flag flying in her yard. She spent many years working at the State Capitol and considered that her most favorite job.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 9, 2023, at Smith Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with a visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
