Geraldine Howanietz
Geraldine (Pruitt) Howanietz, 84, of Garner, Arkansas, joined her heavenly family on November 9, 2016. Geraldine grew up as the daughter of Rev. John Robert (J.R.) and Sallie (Thurman) Pruitt of Antioch.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Albert Howanietz; son Johnny Lynn; and brother Arlis Pruitt.
Geraldine is survived by three daughters, Shirley (Steve) Harvey, Kathy Howanietz and Patricia Howanietz; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren including Monroe Kirk; brothers Dennis Pruitt, Hulon (June) Pruitt, Horace (June) Pruitt and Hollis (Sandra) Pruitt; sisters Pearlene (Charles) Kitts; and sister-in-law Helen Pruitt.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nothing made her happier than pleasing those she loved. Geraldine managed the Sweden Cream in Beebe for over twenty-three years.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Arkansas, 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205.
Family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
